This is round 2 of Humbugardy. I'm your host, Alex Scorebard.

the poet who wrote,
"Let Greeks be Greeks, and Women what they are."

Who is John Mayberry?

See, I knew Bob would get this one.

Symmetry is a powerful force. I only get 200, 600 or 1000s.

"All the bushleague batters
Are left to die on the diamond.
In the stands the home crowd scatters
For the turnstiles,
For the turnstiles,
For the turnstiles."

Man -- I've always liked your handle (moniker? screenname?), but I had no idea it was so, um, bleak. Or is it?

Bleak? I suppose so. It's a great song, though I don't remember exactly why I chose to use it as my handle here - usually I use something more like my actual name.

And I see that my success at Humbugardy has now made baseballtoaster the 4th hit at google on a search for that phrase.

Ken -- I'll pass on that people (OK, just Vishal) were asking for a score update over at Dodger Thoughts. And I would be interested in knowing if my bad guesses have dropped me back to zero, or if I still have my meager place on the board. (Really a rule question, not a score update question.)

8 Like I said, maybe it's not bleak at all. With poetry/great songs, you can generally make a case either way.

Bob got it. I'll give a score update soon. I keep waiting for someone to hit one of the two double-up questions, but it hasn't happened yet.
