Humbugardy: 6th Degree Quotes for 200
2005-10-17 12:11
by Score Bard

This is round 2 of Humbugardy. I'm your host, Alex Scorebard.

This pitcher was the last to strike out
the father of
the manager whose owner has the same name as
the player born in the same city as
the poet who wrote,
"Done with the Chart!"

I did it just to see if I could, and got the right answer. I'll figure one of these out first sooner or later

The key is if you can answer one of these while still talking to someone about an unrelated matter like I did.

King of the Hobos, same for me, although much further behind. This is an amusing exercise if nothing else.

I'm normally a Humbug lurker, but this question was:
a) One of the only questions I've got right.
b) More fun than any of the others.

Thanks, Score Bard!

I agree, this was a very enjoyable scavanger hunt, and very manageable if you know how to use the web properly.

A bit of related trivia I found fun was that the starting second baseman for the A's in that game (A's 4, Brewers 3, 9/29/70) was none other than the manager who lost the World Series to the son of the batter who's final strikeout came in that game.
