Stupid Humbug Stat Tricks - They say its your birthday (and ML debut) Edition
2007-05-03 09:44
by dianagramr

As reported in today's Griddle, Jarrod Saltalamacchia made his major league debut last night, going 0-2 with a walk in the Braves 4-3 win over the Phillies.

Not only was it his debut, but it was his 22nd birthday too!

The Braves can only hope Jarrod has a better start to his career than the last player to debut on his birthday, former Dodger/current Devil Ray Edwin Jackson (born 9/9/83, debuted 9/9/2003).

1.   El Lay Dave
Although Edwin Jackson's debut game was pretty good. 6 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 4 K and he "beat" Randy Johnson.
