Last night, the Astros extended to eight their franchise record for consecutive games with at least 11 hits, in an 8-6 loss to the Angels. Here are the other instances of teams with exactly eight consecutive games with at least 11 hits in the last 50 years:
The Major League record for consecutive games with at least 11 hits (since 1957)? Yup ... 11, by the 1992 Mariners and the 1979 Cardinals (each went 8-3 in those 11 games).
