While stumped by which needs were addressed,
I'm awed by the Dodgers' new quest
To catch every Ray
And transform L.A.
To glamorous Tampa Bay West.
But we die-hards still bleed Dodger blue
In oh-six we're bitching
But with better pitching
In oh-seven good things start to brew
Not one of my better efforts, I'm afraid. I love limericks but find them difficult to do using clean words.
Yours was terrific, btw.
But I'm guessing this willl do fine
In putting me through pangs
Of deep-searing angst.
Wake me up when I can come up with a decent meter and/or rhyme.
Meanwhile, we Dodger fans prefer Maddux to the Maalox we needed after watching some of our backend pitchers this year. (sorry, I couldn't be bothered to write a real limerick - this is more experimental prose.)
In LA, we still have, it appears -
Though we gave away Cesar
(For a quality geezer)-
Shortstops still come out of our ears.
(swatting with a rolled up newspaper) No! Nnnno!
